Enrollment
Students who are zoned for Halls Middle School and attended a Knox County elementary school for 5th grade are automatically enrolled.
Enrollment hours for students who are new to the district are from 8:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. on full school days and during specified office hours in the summer months. Enrollment must completed in person by a parent or legal guardian. To enroll your child, please call our front office or email Chappel Harbin at Chappel.harbin@knoxschools.org and set up a time to fill out all needed paperwork.
The following documents may also be needed:
- Proof of Birth: Government-issued Birth Certificate, passport, immigration documentation.
- Immunization Records: The student’s Tennessee Department of Health Immunization Certificate (shot record signed by the child’s physician or county health department). Visit the Knox County Schools Immunization page for more details.

- Proof of Residence: One of the following—gas, water, or electric bill. If the utility bill and/or lease agreement is in the name of someone other than the parent/guardian, that individual must provide the utility bill and/or lease agreement, along with a notarized letter confirming that the parent/guardian and children reside at the address.
