• The Common Core Curriculum will impact instruction.  Class time has been lengthened to 75 minutes in the academic core of Language Arts, Math, Social Studies and Science.  Related Arts will remain a two-wheel 45 minute class period.
• Growth:  We will add an additional teacher in sixth grade to make four, four-member teams due to a large incoming class of 6th graders.
• Intervention:  We will add an additional teacher to Intervention to address achievement gaps and increase the likelihood of academic success for all students.
• Teams:  We will continue to provide instruction in teams as much as possible; there may be some cross-teaming due to our population growth, but students will remain with their teacher teams as much as possible.  Eighth graders have a more departmental schedule in preparation for high school.
